HPAIR (Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations) is an international conference often called the “Davos for Students,” and has been held annually since 1991.
More than 450 students from leading universities around the world are selected to participate, engaging with renowned professors and practitioners in tackling global challenges.
📍The 2025 conference will be hosted at the University of Tokyo under the theme “Reinventing Vitality: Momentum and Memory.”
Discussions will focus on economy, policy, technology, environment, and healthcare, aiming to shape a sustainable future. One of the core programs is the Impact Challenge, where companies and organizations present pressing social issues, and student teams work together to propose solutions that are showcased on the final day.
The representative of Robo Co-op, Kim, served as a judge for this year’s Impact Challenge. Among the themes taken up was the question of how to support refugee entrepreneurship, with student teams exploring ways to build systems that enable refugees to achieve independence and thrive in Japanese society.
Over the course of the weekend, around 15 teams presented diverse ideas, and Mr. Kim evaluated their proposals, offering feedback as a judge.
Robo Co-op envisions a future where diverse individuals—such as single mothers and refugees—transform their experiences and perspectives into strengths, addressing societal challenges in the process. This generates new ideas, new businesses, and ultimately updates existing values.
HPAIR 2025 is a stage to share this spirit of co-creation with the global community.
Robo Co-op’s mission goes beyond using technology as a simple tool: it is about connecting people, fostering trust, and laying the foundations for new economies and cultures.
The active participation of refugees and diverse talents is a symbol of unlocking society’s hidden potential.
Supporting the challenges of refugees and single mothers is not merely an act of social contribution—it is an investment in a sustainable future.
The businesses and networks they build will drive the solutions to the global challenges of the next generation.
